I installed Avast on my Droid 3 yesterday. I was a Theft Aware user and very pleased with that, but now I have problems. To test, I sent a simple "lock" text via Handcent from my wife's phone to mine. Both phones are in the same room, and after FIVE attempts, No lock message received by my phone! Theft Aware was perfect -- what has happened?

did you try other SMS commands? are you sure you're using the correct PIN and have no other anti theft software installed?

No, I didn't try any other than the "Lock" command. I tried it several times to no avail, and now the phone I used to send the commands ( wife's ) will not send or receive any texts. Did something cause it to be blocked when I used it to try the commands?

I'm a little embarrassed. Tried all day to SMS wife's phone, no luck. She just got home -- I did a battery pull and it's working again. All the texts I sent arrived en masse. So That's solved. Good old Droid & the battery pull.
