Title: Question about disabled USB
Post by: Tobias56 on January 28, 2012, 03:57:19 PM
Hello there,
As far I know there are 2 ways to remove theft aware from a locked device :
- Hard reset the mobile (but it doesn't work if TA is installed as rooted right ?)
- Flash the phone

But if the option to disable USB is ticked in TA and the phone is marked as lost and is locked, how can a stealer recover the phone ? Does it mean there is absolutely no way to get the phone back in a working state unless you try to guess/bruteforce the lock code (I've got a galaxy s2) ??

Last question, it could be cool if there was a way to erase photos/sms without erasing TA. I hope you will allow that in the future.

Thanks !

there is ALWAYS a way - however it gets harder and harder.
