Title: Trojan won't go away
Post by: FunkyHomosapien on January 30, 2012, 10:22:45 PM
I recently have been getting many pop up messages from avast saying that malicious url has been blocked. But I ran a Malwarebytes scan and it found 2 viruses, that matched the avast info it gave me when avast blocked it. I attempted to remove them and restarted my computer, but the messages from avast continue to come up and the viruses are still there in the mwb scan.
the process it gives me is : \\.\globalroot\systemtoot\svchost.exe
is there any way to remove this Trojan

ah! problem solved! I used kaspersky tdsskiller and it was able to cure and quarantine the virus unlike malwarebytes.

Follow the guide here, and attach the OTL logs
Essexboy will then check if all is gone
