Title: Does the REPAIR button do anything?
Post by: elares on February 08, 2012, 11:33:39 PM
version 1.0 (35889b) on MacBookPro OSX 10.6.8

After an easy installation and running a scan, some files are reportedly infected.

what are my options now?  Repair seems to do nothing.  Is deletion the only option?  The Repair button is not greyed out.
Some of the files are imap gmail message related.  How can I figure out what email message is giving grief so I can check it out using gmail and delete the message or attachment as needed?

Any advice appreciated.

I think Repair is less useful today than it was. Used to be that viruses would actually infect legitimate files and hence repair would repair these files by removing the infection. Today most infections are not file infectors and are just deleted when found (Or Moved to Chest if you are unsure).

Can you post a screenshot or a more detailed explanation of where you are seeing the infected email through IMAP?
