Hi,
After installing avast!, I am having trouble ftp files to my server and sending email with big attachments (around 2Mb).
Currently I am using FileZilla for FTP, Thunderbird for Email and FireFox for Net Browsing. These programe were working okay until recently.
FileZilla takes a long time to upload 2Mb files (it fail after that, it works okay for ftp small html and small images). Thunderbird would deliver the attachment to 100% (only in the status window) until it pops up a msg "connection timmed out".
Could anyone help me out , please ?
Help is much appreciated !

A lot of problems were corrected at the new build 4.5.546.
Did you update to it?
Anyway, can't you disable smtp scanning while sending that big emails?

Bob he has two problems. With ftp and with the email ;)
For the ftp:
Try another frp client to see if it is FileZilla or not.
For the mail:
Setup the mail as if Avast isn't there. Does this solve the problem?
If not try as explained HERE (http://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=2;action=display;threadid=9150;start=msg76133#msg76133)
