Title: Newbie needing help please
Post by: Seasickmick on February 11, 2012, 12:01:05 PM
Hi folks,
I used Avast free for a while when I had a licenced version of AVG and liked it so much that I purchased a licence for three comps for version 6.0.1367. Everything works great and the protection is excelleent compared to AVG. The only thing is web shield seems to be slowing down my web browsing, pages loading etc. If I turn off web shield pages load as quick as they used to but with it on it's noticably slower. Is there any tweaks to rectify this? I've tried the repair in control panel but no change. Apologies if this is posted before.

Vista Hope Premium (SP 2) ???
If not, please apply all OS updates.

There is a removal tool for All Antivirus programs to make sure that no conflicting code remains.
Find the one for AVG at the following link and please run  it.
