2 things.

2: Streaming Updates.....basically, it allows Avast! to send updates for particularly bad or fast moving infections faster and more efficiently than the usual 2-3 big updates per day.  You will still get the normal updates, nothing has been taken away from the usual way it was done, this was added on top of traditional updates, not replacing them.
