Avast 6 would scan my computer typically in about an hour.
I've updated to Avast 7 -- no problems with the update, at least as far as I can tell, but the speed is, well, there is NO speed!
I started the full system scan when I left the room for dinner; no other programs were running. I returned 1 hour and 11 minutes later and only 27% of my computer had been scanned. We're talking about 4 HOURS to complete a scan? Ain't gonna happen, because I can't dedicate 4 hours to a bloody scan. And if I'm running programs so that Avast is scanning in the background, then we're talking even more time.
