Title: Wow, what a freaky update
Post by: Tgell on March 02, 2012, 08:22:17 PM
I was contemplating updating to Free V7 and decided to bite the bullet and do the upgrade. I was starting the upgrade and because I had another large download going at the same time, I decided to hit cancel thinking maybe it would be better to wait a couple of weeks anyway and let things settle down as far as these V7 problems go. I logged off and came back about an hour later. Logged into my account and all of a sudden the pop-up comes up asking me to finish the V7 update. WTH? I clicked finish and the V7 interface came up. Well, I looked through all of my settings and nothing changed other than it asked to restore the self-protection module I disabled just before the upgrade I thought I cancelled. Do not have Chrome installed. Maybe this is for the PRO and AIS version. But, everything is running smooth, cloud services is connected, and the online account is up and running. So far so good. Booyah!

Hi Tech,

I can say I experience the same. Avast V7 makes that bit of difference. But they did not have to convince me, because I saw where it was going - great solution!
