Post by: mdlance0000 on March 04, 2012, 07:37:14 PM
I just recently upgraded to 7.01.1407. There is a web site that i often visit that i now can not access
see below

Infection Details
URL: "hxtp://www.barplan.com/"
Process: "C:\ProgramFiles\InternetExplorer\iexplore.exe"
Infection: "URL:Mal"

I had no problems before accessing this site using version 6
I believe this may be a false positive how do i alleviate this problem
Have ran the site thru virus total, url void and norton safe web and all scans show the site to be claer of any malware. Are you able to help?

thanks in advance

@iDonovan,

Thanks that you checked on this, well done.  :)
Generally speaking it is mportant to keep the listing as actual as we can get it.
Malware take down time can vary. It can be taken down next day, within a couple of hours even, or stay on there so long to get the status "long overdue".
Those that are responsible for the avast blocking should check the migration data & malware status changes from day to day.
But other av blocklists perform a lot worse.
Also it is important is to watch for urlQuery alerts (specific requests).
Well  generally speaking we should always give avast feed-back,  so they can stay up to date,

Thanks for reporting,  :)
