I have Avast Free.Can someone help me to update my Engine and Definitions?
On trying to do this nothing happens?
Also I am wondering if Definitions are upating, as the green popup has disappeared !

what program version do you have ?
what VPS version do you have ?

Program version 6.0.1367.
Do you mean definitions version by VPS ?
My definitions version is 120302-0

Well your definitions are 5 days out of date and no doubt would shortly be getting a warning from avast.

What happens if you try a manual Virus Definitions update ?
Latest version is 120307-0 and there is also a new avast version, just released today 7.0.1426, but avast 7.0.1407 was released on the 23rd February 2012.

In the update box I only have the option of - 1) Engine & Definitions   2) Program.
Nothing happens with either of these.

Thanks LOGOS, I have downloaded the Fix Update file, and have now updated to 7.
All now looking good !!
