Yes, because there is no firewall in Malwarebytes and avast Pro :-)

Sorry, but that has nothing to do with why it is safe to run them together.

MBAM Pro is designed to work beside an already installed AV.   So it would (and does) work even with AIS, which comes with a firewall.

Follow this guide line, section K, to exclude each other to prevent any conflicts. Just in case. ( Eventhough it says Avast! v. 6, it will work for v. 7 )

Personally, in all of the time I have been using MBAM Pro alongside avast I haven't had to exclude it. The only exclusion I have done is in MBAM by adding c:\windows\temp\_avast_ to the MBAM Ignore list, this is where avast sends/unpacks file that it is going to scan.
