Title: can´t login into my.avast.com

user name and password is 100% correct! I try to login and nothing happens, but and after a some minutes it sais: Incorrect. The username or password you have entered is incorrect.
Firefox 10.0.2 and IE 9

Same here tonite and I am definitely typing in the correct information.

I would change my password if I could make out both captcha words.

The Account service is not working.
That in itself is not a big deal. However, as it is now essential to connect to an avast! Account in order to register avast! Free, it is a big deal!
Either Account connection has to be optional or this service has to be triple-redundant.

Cannot connect either and having the exact error message. I know my login and it says temporarily unavailable. Is this serious?

Not working here too, but i am sure its only a matter of time until that get fixed :D

I can log in again now, but none of the "devices" I have "connected" during the last three days are listed.

Are they showing in the Summary as being connected, see image ?
As this doesn't happen automatically you have to link them via the avastUI.

I have been experiencing your situation! Do not worry and feel annoying! That may be because avast is coming to avast version 7. Wait for some days and see whether avast correct this error or not. I am sure everything will be ok!

Yes, they are shown as connected in the avast! UI. One of them (my own PC) I have disconnected and reconnected today to see if that made any difference.

I just logged on to my.avast.com and mine are relatively up to date (given that I have the avastUI, Settings, Account update frequency set at 60 minuted, the default). So my XP system is a little overdue sync and my win7 netbook has just been brought out of hibernation and that has update almost immediately.

I believe the update frequency plays a role here. I have set aLL MY pc`S (LOCAL AND REMOTES) to update every 15 mins and I have found that they all update properly (although some with a little lag...)

I'd already dropped it down to 30 but on your advice, now it's 15.

The 2 pics below were taken seconds apart and refer to the same machine.
Not much use as any sort of real-time monitor if it doesn't update more frequently than this.

the one with 1407 may be a problem. I would suggest uninstalling and re installing 1426.

If that installation on your system is showing everything up to date - I would delete the device that is showing 7.0.1407 in (the second image) the avast account and then connect it again from the avastUI.

This morning it seems like the updates from the connected systems is taking quite a long time. I have all  my systems monitored (6 of them with a mix of XP and Win7) set to update every 15 mins but I am showing hours since last connections. This whole idea of my.avast.com reporting needs to be worked on and improved quickly because although it is a good idea, right now it is not worth the trouble.

For me not so much an issue, my XP Pro system which is on-line most of the time during the day shows last communication 101 minutes ago; my win7 netbook which is in standby/hibernation most of the time is 12 hours, which is about right.

Hi David

I've had that idea in mind for a few days but have been waiting as long as possible to see if there was any status change in the 'Account' 'Devices' list for this machine which I know is constantly running and internet connected, and also waiting for 2 others machines that I know are running most of the time to even "appear" on the list at all.

I don't really want to phone these people and say, "Sorry to bother you but can I remotely connect to your PC because some part of avast! is not working."

Well with monitoring remote systems; first you would have to confirm that those people had already connected their installation of avast to the avast account (the one you set-up) and I rather doubt you would want to give them the account email and password in order to connect.

I know they were "connected" because I entered my account name and password myself.

OK, at least you know that the connection to your avast account was made, one down, hopefully the others will come up in due course.

EDIT: Interesting, you can't get them to show up and now I'm showing extra installations (3 when I only have 2) and the win7 ones are showing 20 hours since last communication. The my.account.com is certainly displaying (excuse the pun) some weird results or lack of them.

my only laptop updates with the avast account about once every day even if set at 60mins within avast gui since this week.

alright for me though, however will need to register more than one device on this account to see how it handles more than one device.  :)

I tried to add another avast installation, but it is not shown up in my avast, the pwd is correct.

After days of zero response, all my wayward 'Account'-connected PCs have appeared on the 'Account' page during yesterday & today. Seems somebody must have fixed something. Thanks!  :)

Well, in my case it is the reverse. Till today all was fine in my avast account. Now today my PC which is on and I am using to type this is showing as 'Off' in the devices (even after clicking the link from Avast) and my home PC which is actually off, is showing as 'on' and fine and secure.

It may not be as "reverse" as it seems.
Up until yesterday, none of the PCs in my 'Account' had ever been listed as "Off" even if they had been for some time. I think this feature has only just started working. Try lowering the delay and see if it makes any difference.

PS. I tried to attach a shot of the "Edit" screen but got a message that the upload folder was full.

Well the relay status is set at 60 under Settings>Account. But the PC is switched on since several hours, but the status is still showing as 'off'. Avast UI is showing as all ok, all connected, account connected, but my avast shows as off.

Account page has only 2 settings - Update frequency (in minutes) and connect/disconnect button.

I see. It is buried under device settings. Now all PCs are showing off, including my work PC which was on all day. It also shows last communication of the Work PC is 21 days ago, which is not correct at all since it is on almost every day and is showing connected. I have changed it to 2h, let us see.

There was no change even after setting it to 2h. Today I re-set it to default 1d and hey presto it is showing ok, secure. But though it was on yesterday at the time I did this it was actually off. From my work PC I tried setting the Work PC to 1m, 2h, and back to 1d. No go, it is still showing as off.

Can anybody throw light on this behaviour? Else I will simply not bother with 'my avast' till the glitches are sorted out.
