On the maintenance page I have
Streaming Updates: Enabled
Connection: Connection not established
I don't think I have any settings wrong as this worked before, is there something wrong or something I need to fix?
Edit: and now it says Connection Established, I hope this means nothing on the whole and it just disconnects when it doesn't need it.

Hi,EmoHobo!
Which version of avast do you use?It was clean install or not? :) Do you use automatic update? ;)
-
The most recent version, it wasn't a clean install but things worked fine, I worked through the issues with a nonclean install and I do use automatic update.
The only issue I've noticed since the most recent update which is 7.0.1426 it starts a bit slower now, well it starts at startup but it doesn't show up in the system tray for a few seconds, my pidgin is able to start before it, but I don't think that's an issue.

note that streaming updates only pushes updates to u if the traditional virus update does not manage to keep u updated to the latest threats, i.e. the time gap between each time the traditional virus update checks with Avast! servers for new definitions. (thus sometimes u will see 'latest update received: --')
also when system has just started, the first few mins the connection for streaming updates will not be established. ;)

Well the system had been running for about a good eight hours by then but that makes sense, it doesn't connect when it doesn't have to, probably to help prevent overload on the server.

Any new information on this, it seems to randomly go from Connection Established and Connection Not Established.
-
Connection goes on and off as i believe it really only has to connect to push through cloud updates or if using the cloud file analysis.

Oh, thank you.
