Title: RIOT-Moonlite_465 virus
Post by: Sherryl on August 25, 2003, 02:31:22 AM
Avast found a virus on my computer (I just starting using avast, but know computers pretty well), I put it in the chest 7 times.   It came up 7 times in 7 different files.  When I went to open my Chest to delete them,
I got this.............
On Resume - "Initialization of Chest Files
                       Action was completed with errors"

Errors Report - Program cannot use Chest client (null)
The RPC Server is to busy to complete this operation"

Did it remove the virus? And has anyone else received this virus???
Thanks for any help :)

Make a board search on "rpc error" and you will get several hits, but i do not know if that will solve your problem.

Do you know which files should be infected with that virus? It is a very old dos fileinfector, so it could be a false alarm.

Check avast! service is running in "Services" administrative tool or check process list for ashServ.exe If it is not running (and I think this is the case) see program logs using avast! log viewer, please. There should be more info...
