Title: Who Can Use The Free Edition?
Post by: Bob29526 on March 21, 2012, 08:21:57 PM
I'm working with a education based non-profit.  They are not a commercial organization.  Do they qualify to use the free edition?

No, the free is for home AND non-commercial usage. Thanks and welcome to forums.

Unfortunately they do not (it is quite specific, for Home 'and' non-commercial use), just because something is non-profit it doesn't mean it isn't commercial, government, education, etc. are non-profit but are considered business/commercial.

Though they may qualify for an educational discount for the avast Pro version, contact sales(at)avast(dot)com.
