Post by: toxic-hero on March 28, 2012, 05:21:10 PM
hi!

i installed avast for linux on my ubuntu laptop today and ran the scan. i got one positive result but i'm not sure wether it's false or not since it's a file that is part of VirtualBox (installed from the ubuntu repository).

Well... A little more info will help...
1. File name and path.
2. Name of the virus.
3. Link for www.virustotal.com and the results...

No problem... ;)
Follow Tech's advice and check the file at VT.

1. /home/myusername/VirtualBox VMs/Win7-32/Win7-32.vdi
2. Win32:Zhelatin-gen2 (Wrm)
3. VirusTotal: The submitted file execeeds the 32MB size limit.

My guess is that it's just a coincident, as this is found in a VM for W7.
But I don't guarantee anything... ;)
