I am trying to download music from a website I used many times before with no problem, now that I have avast it blocks every download I try. Can someone let me know if there is a way to keep avast but also be able to download P2P music files, thanks in advance for any help.

is there a warning from avast ?
if so, what does it say?....can you attach a screen shot

What happens is the music download will finish but then avast pops up an says dropper blocked, an then deletes my music file.

well...avast say the file is infected..... so avast stop it...as a antivirus is suppose to do ;)
you can upload the file to www.virustotal.com and test it with 40+ malware scanners

It does that to every file I try download on p2p site. On another computer at my gf's house I am able to downloads files with no problem. I guess avast just does not trust these type of files because I know they are not all bad since I download the same at gf's house who does not have avast running. I'm guessing the only way to download these files on my computer is to stop avast, is there a way to temporary stop avast from running on my computer while i'm on this p2p website?

Just to be sure.
Follow Pondus guide.
Upload the file to www.virustotal.com

Everyone wants an AV till it gets between them and their content.

You could try re-installing Frostwire. Make sure you get the latest installation files from their site.
