Hi if anyone out there can help me have been having issues with my web browser pages any page I go on does not fully load and with that I see boxes with a red X inside. I did a scan with Malwarebytes and it found 44 items but still the issue hasnt been resolved I did another scan again and malwarebytes found 6 items I save the log I will be attaching it shortly. I did a scan with superantispyware serveral times just like with the malwarebytes and everytime I think the adwares are gone after rebooting there still there I have a log from the Superantispyware scan. If anybody can help me in solving this issue for good it will be great.
-
your malwarebytes log say "NO ACTION TAKEN" did you not click the remove selected button after scan ?
the detection in this logs also PUP detection. PUP = Possible Unwanted Program
also, SAS scan for tracking cookies....and will find this at almost every scan after you have surfed the net, tracking cookies are nothing to worry about
-
Follow this guide and attach the logs from OTL / aswMBR

OK not a lot apparent there but your Host file needs resetting
Warning This fix is only relevant for this system and no other, using on another computer may cause problems
Be advised that when the fix commences it will shut down all running processes and you may lose the desktop and icons, they will return on reboot
If you have Malwarebytes 1.6 or better installed please disable it for the duration of this run
To disable MBAM
Open the scanner and select the protection tab
Remove the tick from "Start with Windows"
Reboot and then run OTL
(http://i1224.photobucket.com/albums/ee362/Essexboy3/mbamstop.jpg)
Run OTL
- Under the Custom Scans/Fixes box at the bottom, paste in the following
:Files
ipconfig /flushdns /c
:Commands
[resethosts]
[emptytemp]
[CREATERESTOREPOINT]
[Reboot]
- Then click the Run Fix button at the top
- Let the program run unhindered, reboot the PC when it is done
- Open OTL again and click the Quick Scan button. Post the log it produces in your next reply.
THEN
Go to Control Panel > Internet options
Select the Advanced tab
Click reset
Close internet options and then retry
Let me know if the pictures are present

Hi Essexboy :) I am still having the same problem even on the avast forum I see the the boxes in various places with a red X inside. This so wierd what causes this problem anyway. here is the log
-
can this be it ?
Red X appears instead of image?
http://askbobrankin.com/red_x_appears_instead_of_image.html
-
yes Pondus.I checked everything that was said in the article and the Red X' s are still there.
-
Thanks guys for your help I solved the problem I upgraded to the latest verison of google chrome I had internet explorer 8 and the red x's are gone.
-
That would suggest a problem within the flash programme as Chrome carries its own copy
Might be worth uninstalling and then reinstalling flash for IE
-
I don't understand what you mean essexboy
-
If IE is still having the same problem then we may need to uninstall and then reinstall the Flash player
-
Thanks essexboy I did as you said :). Quick question Am using a the superantispyware free edition I want to know if there is another good free antispyware I can use because like I said before in the previous replies everytime I do a scan it will find adware of course after that it goes through the removal process and ask to reboot my computer, but after my computer reboots okay it starts over I do another scan just in case again and still there is more adware that is found after the first scan second, and third I never had that problem before its like the superantispyware isn't doing its job. Please give mesome insight as to what to do. :)

I believe there is a function within SAS where you can disable cookie scans - as that is probably all it is detecting
