Post by: Geomage73 on May 17, 2012, 07:30:14 PM
Hello!

I have a weird problem. The scan now tab is empty (after a succesful uninstall and reinstall procedure) in Avast Internet Security. How shoul I possibly fix this?

Thanks in advance

try running avast repair and reboot

For a repair of avast. Windows, Add Remove programs, select 'avast! Anti-Virus,' click the Change/Remove button from the pop-up window, scroll down to Repair, click next and follow.

did it work ?

Hello Pondus

Thanks for the quick response, unfortunately, a repair through the suggested procedure didn't work in my system, anyway I leave the post open to suggestions and thank you again for the interest.

what antivirus did you use before avast?
did you uninstall it before installing avast?
did you use a removal tool to clear any leftover files that may conflict?

Did you boot after installing?

I have rebooted the system, yes but it shows the same. I was using avg internet security in the past but I have removed it 1 year ago with your uninstaller. Actually I am using Avast internet security for 10 months with no problems. The last 3 days I was forced to uninstall it cause windows 7 have displayed a message that there is no antivirus in the system, while it was running. After uninstall and reinstall it I have lost the scan now options...
