Avast has been a good product on this system and on my PCs. After an update a week or so ago, my Mac started freezing. It will not automatically reboot on freeze either.
I am running a 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo iMac with 4 gigs of memory. It is and early 2008 24 inch iMac
Also Avast 7.0 update yesterday.
Is it Avast. I do not want to uninstall

Hi there,
I have a feeling it's a program on your box that is conflicting with Avast. People have been having trouble with "Registering" as well as problems with setting up their accounts but since the last program update these problems have been taken care of! Good luck!
