Title: 2 known issues with v7 clients 7.0.1436
Post by: lukas.hasik on June 01, 2012, 01:08:00 PM
Hi,
we released new business clients for v7 on Wednesday - the client version was 7.0.1436. Unfortunately, there appeared two problems caused by the changes in licensing scheme between v6 and v7.

Issue 1 : when there is client 7.0.1436 and SBC v6 on the same machine then the Console might refuse the current license
FIX - update client to build 7.0.1438 or update console to v7 version

Issue 2 : unmanaged client 7.0.1336 reports itself as Unsecured after update from v6
FIX - re-insert the license file again. It's in the c:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Avast\ directory.

Both these issues are fixed in version 7.0.1438 that we'll be out this afternoon.

I have a question - yesterday we upgraded from BP to EPS SOA - Some clients report as 6.0.1438 and others as 7.0.1438 - are these two seperate client versions?   or is this actually the same client version just displaying funny due to a leftover from clients that self updated prior to the console upgrade?

Hi,
I've this condition
Quote
Some clients report as 6.0.1438 and others as 7.0.1438
until I restarted the client, after the reboot the version is show correctly.
Did you tried to reboot the client after upgrade?

These clients were in a group set to automatically update.  Just forced a reboot on one, and yes, it now shows v7...  Now I know.  Thanks.
