Title: Avast is unable to do automatic update
Post by: kimbatigger on June 04, 2012, 02:04:28 AM
The past few times (days) that Avast attempted its automatic update, I got an error message that it was unable to update the virus definitions. I installed the newest version, and it errored out saying that it was unable to complete at this time. I have been using Avast for about 4 years now and this is the first time anything like this has occurred. Please advise.

Never double post, just double the help effort.

I never intended to double post. For some reason my post stalled and computer froze after submitting.  I couldn't find the post afterward and when I posted the second message, they both showed up.
