Title: Does AVAST use Java?
Post by: Xircal on June 04, 2012, 05:12:10 PM
I'm assuming that AVAST uses Java because I have two files called respectively db.java.dat and db.java.map at this location: C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Avast\defs\12060400

Are there any other locations where it needs to be left in place?

The reason I'm asking is because I've uninstalled Java altogether and don't propose to reinstall it. I therefore want to remove any files left over after the uninstallation which don't need to be left in place.

Thanks in advance.
