I cannot say more at this time,but AEC 1.6 will actually see the sun :)
I'm still working on some function and fixing bugs from older revision (the ones from backup source code).
I have also removed few functions that were not directly related to avast!.
Info status page is now a bit less detailed,because i removed detection scripts for services,startup section,update methods and VRDB interval.
They were simply to complicated to maintain and it was nearly impossible to make them compatible with avast! 4.5.
All things are pretty much done,i just have to doublecheck everything,re-make Readme file and then AEC will be launched :)
If everything goes well this might even happen today ;) ;D

Good to hear. I hope this time it will work here also. Last version had some troubles.

RejZor, can't we add the Le Doc's tweaker features into AEC?
I mean, can't we add more tweaks (all possible into avast4.ini file)?
Where is Le Doc? I've not seen a post from him in months :-\

I never herd of a tweaker by Le Doc, but Im really looking foward to AEC 1.6 ;D

All the ones available into avast4.ini file.
I just need a program that:
1) store the default values (always allow an emergency exit for the user ;D)
2) read the actual value into avast4.ini file
3) change it to a new tweaked one
4) show, like a help text, the comments I've posted in that thread.
I know this is possible for almost every value there.

Well it would be even better if the most basic ones would be implimented by Alwil team (stop spinning "a" ball for example,plus other tweaks in avast! Tweaker section of AEC).

Missed your post, sorry for the slow response.
Restarting Avast did not work. It stopped Avast and then nothing. It just hanged my system. Already tried with this version and now it is working.

That was because new version uses third service (Internet Mail) which was not detected by AEC 1.5.x

Your External Control is a super tool. It's like it would be a crime if it wasn't offered via the Alwil downloads section... hint hint... :)
