Post by: agentstar on June 21, 2012, 12:05:27 PM
is avast free all on its own ok
or should we also have      another spyware or malware along side it such as  malwarebytes or spyware SD

MANY PEOPLE SAY  YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE MORE THAN ONE AS THEY CONFLICT.....

is also ok to have   MSSE and malware bytes together ?
will that not conflict ???

also comment about AVG  and  what else can go together????

MalwareBytes Anti-Malware nicely complements just about ANY anti-virus program of your choice.   The FREE version [which is a scanner only] should offer no problems/conflicts whatsoever.   The PAID version [which also offers realtime protection] may need some "tweaking" to avoid conflicts/slowdowns (if any) --- but details on how to make things work together may be found here:   http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=10138

I am using the Avast (Free) + MBAM (Paid/PRO) combination quite happily.

a good combo is avast and malwarebytes but you can also add a third party firewall to that like outpost or comodo that will have you coverd.
