Title: Uninstaller tool for Avast 7 for Mac
Post by: victorh2007 on June 21, 2012, 04:10:04 PM
Is there an uninstaller tool designed for Avast 7 for Mac?
If there is not, what it the best way to completely remove Avast 7 for Mac in a computer with OS Lion?
Thanks for any help.

Start the main GUI application, choose menu "avast! >> Uninstall avast!".

Thanks a lot for your nice reply!
I thought that Avast! for Mac could count with an uninstaller tool the same way there is for Avast Windows versions.
Sometimes people want to uninstall completely their antivirus solution for some special reason and with a specific tool is both easier and effective.
I consider Avast one of the best antivirus solutions nowadays developed for Mac users.

Oh-oh, I don't understand? "Start the main GUI application"?
I see Safari has an uninstall for Avast's extension, but not Firefox. Shouldn't I remove all extensions from the browsers, then uninstall Avast?
Is being a new Mac noticeable?

Just start avast! and choose "Uninstall avast!" from the avast! menu (on the top left corner of the screen).
