Avast AV Beta-Version [12.4.2281]

Hi all, sorry for the delay with this beta, but it's finally here. We are now busy working on integration with AVG but I hope you will like the changes coming early next year (and yes HIPS included ). Main purpose of this beta is to test its stability and get your feedback on the new UI. We didn't change just the "face" but also the framework behind the UI so it gives us now much more flexibility in fixing various issues and bugs much faster than before.

We listened to the feedback, so there won't be color differences between Free and paid versions and all will be dark. Navigation moved back to the left side, and the window is now larger. We know it's not perfect now and we will work hard in the upcoming weeks to polish it for release quality.

Changelog/Fixes:
• Fully new UI framework with modern graphics
• Removed screensaver and desktop gadget
• Huge internal changes for product stabilization

Known issues:
• Some UI parts are not fully finished yet, excuse glitches
• SmartScan and Browser Cleanup not finished
• UI glitches in some expiration messaging dialogs
• Web shield problems on Win 10 internal preview
• Passwords synchronization setup flows are broken

Hi all, Happy New Year 2017 to all of you. We decided to celebrate the new year with new beta version. It contains many fixes we did during the last few weeks. Please note that the behavior analysis (aka IDP) is not included yet, but still planned for January release. It will be included in the next beta version planned in 2-3 weeks.

Hi all testers,

we have a new beta for your to enjoy some weekend testing ;-) We finally added the behavioral analysis of running programs, plus many fixes and improvements in UI.

Changelog/Fixes:
- Behavior Shield aka behaviorial analysis of running programs is here!
- 88 fixes and improvements in GUI (Status screen polished - added progress when Smart Scan running, new navigation menu etc..)
- Game Mode improvements, now we prevent forced Windows restarts after Windows update
- Fixed problem when it's wasn't possible to turn off PC because File Shield was blocking it
- Firewall profiles are now synchronized with Windows (both directions) (Win7+)
- Firewall rules for "Public" profile are now visible in the UI for better control and configurability
- SafeZone: New Recently closed tabs menu
- SafeZone: Modern UI window styling
- SafeZone: New currency converter
- SafeZone: Most used sites on the start page

Known issues:
- Browser cleanup step in Smart Scan doesn't work
- SafeZone: Links leading to extensions store will not work
- SafeZone: Credit Card button does not work when switching back from bank mode (Workaround: click out and back to the SZB window)
- SafeZone: Useless notification about blocking an extension soon after browser start

Hi all testers, we tried to get you fresh beta last week. It got a bit delayed, but finally, here it is! There was a lot of work done under the hood of the new UI. Hope you'll like all the invisible improvements! If everything goes well, you are going to get another beta before the week ends.

Hi all testers,

we had a busy week filled with bugfixing. All critical issues should be resolved now. We know about few UI glitches, but otherwise, the build is a final release candidate. So please, give it a hard time and try to break it!

 - Wifi inspector - fixed most UI glitches
 - More than 100 fixes and improvements

Known issues:
- Avast account is turned of. Will be enabled later as it allows new UI mechanism.
- Notification counter does not change when clearing notifications.
- Vulnerability details merged together in wifi inspector.
- Boot time scan installation progress bar never finishes.
- Under some circumstances creating rescue disk does not work
- Few texts are missing its translations

thank you for your feedback from the last beta build! We fixed a few bugs and this is the last beta refresh before the final release. It is the release candidate.
