outlook express config

i have version 4.5-561, the outlook /exchange provider  says that it is waiting for a subsystem to start.  what is it waiting for, and how do i get this to work correctly.   i have windows xp home edition

outlook / exchange provider is for use with outlook

If your using outlook express then you need to use the internet mail provider

The message "The provider is waiting on the subsystem to start" will be shown there until you open MS Outlook.
The plugin will be enabled automatically after that.
