email attachment

after installation avast antivirus I don’t send the email with attachment, the server don’t reply after 60 seconds ...and finally don’t send my mails!
What is the problem? What is the capacity of attachment I can send with a mail?

What OS?
What email client?
How did you setup the mail account?
How did you setup mail protection with Avast?

Outlook express
I don't undestandt your two last questions...I installed avast with instuctions of avast setup, I gave the dates required...

Increase the timeout in avast4.ini and in OE and see if it solves the problem.
