Sense of avast! Account Phone Number?

Hi guys,

as I was setting up a avast! account for online remote control I asked myself: What is the advantage of registering the phone number? Are there any benefits? Because I entered '0000' as a phone number and the remote control panel works just fine as well.

it is needed for some features that will come up soon. it is not as essential at the moment.
