Hi

-
I've been getting these errors on several occasions as follows:

Device driver software was  not successfully installed as follows:

- avast!firewall  NDIS filter miniport #774

- avast!firewall  NDIS filter miniport #450

- avast!firewall  NDIS filter miniport #686

I don't know what these errors mean -
Could it be some viruses?
Please advise for a solution .
Many thanks

NDIS errors may mean your firewall is not running.  What is the status of your firewall?  Is it up and running or down?

What version of Avast! Suite are you using?  What is your operating system?  SP (Service Pack #)?

Problem originate from first install or just cropped up?

Suggest using another computer to post here if not doing that already.  Issues can worked out safely and without harm to your affected system if you choose to do this.

Hi

I m using version 7.0.1474.
I have Win 7 64bits, SP1.

Firewall works fine, the current status is up and down.
Packet rules seem to be normal

The errors just cropped up. Don't know when the drivers were installed.
I noticed them after I had inserted an USB drive.

Sorry I don't have another laptop to post here.

Firewall status is up and down?  Meaning it works sometimes, sometimes not?

Noticed the NDIS errors after inserting and running the USB drive?  Was the drive scanned for viruses and malware before it was opened?

Have you run a full antivirus scan yet of your system?

Next steps will depend upon what you see and then, after that, on what the proposed solution should be for you.
