Avast internet connection problem
« on: December 22, 2012, 02:31:51 PM »
I have an old laptop i will use for not longer then a month and I install the trial version of Avast Pro. But after i install it i was not able to browse the web. I   only was able to load the avast site, when i tried some other sites like google, youtube it said that i have a problem. So i disable the Web Shield and the internet start working. But i don't want to browse without web sheild, so please tell me how to make my internet works, and still have the web sheild on. Thank you.

there is nod 32 but it's expired
the firewall is enable and in exeptions i put Internet Explorer and Google Chrome, also i put avast but still both are not working if web shield is on
Is it possible to be from nod 32, there  was no problem before i install avast.

Never use 2 resident AV-Programs at the same time!! Uninstall Nod32 by using the uninstall tool from here: http://singularlabs.com/uninstallers/security-software (#24). Don't forget to reboot after.

you have to uninstall NOD32 before installing avast...
never install multiple AV as this will give you a slow machine; mysterious windows errors, and false positive detections

when done run the vendors removal tool to clear all leftover files that may conflict

you find the tools here   http://singularlabs.com/uninstallers/security-software/
