nvda file constantly being sandboxed
« on: February 08, 2013, 12:43:54 PM »
hello,
avast trys to sandbox one of my screen reader's files
nvdahelperremoteloader.exe
i've set it to perminently allow the .exe file each time nvda starts up
however when I atempt to upgrade nvda
the file is executed in a randomly named folder inside of temp
I can't set avast to perminently allow this because the path is different every time
since I use the developement version of my screen reader I update every day
and the sandbox blocks the file in mid install where i'm without speach
could avast not sandbox the nvda files
whitelist them or something
they are all 100% safe files

hey i suggest you upload the file to virustotal and post the result here. avast would not sandbox a file/program without a reason.

https://www.virustotal.com/

alternative link if virustotal is not working.  http://virusscan.jotti.org/en

Hey again i think you should be able to run the file in normally. next time you try to run the file and avast pop up is there a option to run this file in normal mode? if o try that and see if that could help you out. if not we have to dig deeper into this.

hi,
the issue is not being able to run it in normal mode
I can run it in normal mode just fine
the problem here is it pops up each time during the upgrading of my screen reader
and I have no speach  because
 of this
couldn't this file be marked by  avast as safe
and all other files of screen readers
because nvda  probably isn't the only reader  getting sandboxed
