win32:BHO-AHO (PUP
PUP = not a virus / Possible Unwanted Program
PUP scan is default off in quick/full scan.... and default on in boot scan

from the name win32:BHO. this seems to be some toolbar.
Browser Helper Object.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Browser_Helper_Object

so if you have a infection i doubt it was this..... what program detected this if not avast?
your topic title say trojan horse....where is the [trj] detection ?

When I did the scan of my files through my Avast program the win32:BHO-AHO(PUP) was listed as a Trojan virus.
This morning while searching through  my AVast acct all 17 files were listed the dates, and the viruses that caused me to lose files and to lose my Microsoft Word program.

I did look at the drop down menu under maintenance and clicked onto the virus chest, this is where AVAST has viruses listed.

Also, this morning when I searched on my iPad win.32:BHO-AHO77, a google search brought pages and pages on the Trojan horse.  Your replies have me very confused.

Keep away from downloading from Softonic that comes bundled with crap toolbars and BHO adware. Produce the logs asked and let a qualified malware remover here have a look at them,

Cybersecurity is more of an attitude than anything else. Avast Evangelists.

Use NoScript, a limited user account and a virtual machine and be safe(r)!
