Hi, I have Avast! internet security, I have always avoided putting Avast! on my phone as it only has 528mz cpu and a mere 256mg ram. however I have installed it and all seems good.
It's pay as you go phone I have limited mobile broad band, I'm a little concerned about auto update.
I wondered how big they were and if I should disable auto update?
On the Avast! settings screen I have unticked all but the wifi box, does this mean it will not try to up date when I am away from home?
If I turn off data services will this do the same thing?

Hi,

those are currently around 200kB I think, twice a day. Yeah, if only the wifi box is ticked, the update will be performed on wifi only (being it your home one or some other). And yes, turning off data will do the same thing. Mobile Security won't turn it on just to update your definitions, don't worry
