The one with the battery optimizer as an add on or downloadable as a separate app. (I don't know if one is being developed but I'll throw it in there!)

Battery optimizer? Why would avast go for this?

Why not is a better question to ask. In any case why is because on mobiles, battery life or the lack of, is the number 1 bugbear of people. AV's in general do use a lot of battery as they do a lot. Having a battery optimizer can help by reducing battery use by switching off the internet when you are on the lockscreen a bit like like juice defender plus other battery saving tricks. I hope you now understand. (Not being patronizing as having read it back it might be taken as such.)

I understand. I wish avast! improve itself and use the minimum battery possible. Just don't want that avast! has a dedicated tool for that and start to become bloatware. I think the focus is on the security.

Yeah I am 100 per cent with you on all you have said. My original battery optimizer comment was slightly tongue in cheek.

Please, no.
We don't need duplicated functions.
On Android tablet you can easily turn off Wi-Fi during standby. It's in settings.
Let Avast do security. That's it. Avast uses at most 2%, usually 1% of battery. That is not much in my book.

It uses much more then that! In saying that it also depends on if you use the anti theft as well as AMS. I do and that increases the drain on the battery. Different phones mileage may differ.
