Website being blocked by Avast
« on: May 08, 2013, 06:20:27 PM »
Dear all,

My ecommerce website is being blocked by Avast. I am not a user of Avast but I have received complaints about the site being blocked by avast software.

My website is: www.kariboka.com

After I heard about being blocked I asked a security company to run a check and apparently I shouldn’t run a javascriptscript of geolocalization of maxmind. We used that script to get the location of users for statistical purposes. Either way we deleted immediately.
We deleted last week but still the website is being blocked and apparently there’s nothing wrong with the website. So I suppose the website is on some sort of black list.

I have checked also on:
http://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/kariboka.com
http://zulu.zscaler.com/submission/show/6c28a5abd4921b749c4d041a2d208e70-1368029395
(Nothing was found and the site is benign)

What can I do to solve this situation and/or remove the website from the Avast Black List?

Yes, indeed I notice that I was also blacklisted by AVG. I already contact them and this was their reply:

"Dear Sir / Madam,

Thank you for your email.

Please let us inform you that there is no current detection on the mentioned site (www.kariboka.com). However, based on the AVG Threatlabs' site report, during the last 7 days, a threat was detected (Script Exploit) on the main site of this domain.

Threatlabs' report are not used by the LinkScanner component of AVG, but rather are simply a historical reference of what LinkScanner has seen at your domain. The report will be shown on a 30-days period. If there is no longer detection, eventually Threatlabs' "red" rating of your domain will "fade out" to "orange" and then "green".

Please feel free to contact us if we can be of further help. "

So they pretty much say that the site is clean altough I have to wait 30 days to get out of the "black List" at least that is what I understood. 30 days is a long time :(

It was unblocked few minutes ago -- wait for next stream update.
