Updating Issue
« on: October 25, 2013, 06:58:19 PM »
So my avast has been acting abit funky for a few days. Usually it updates itself, no big deal.

But for about the last 3 or so days i keep getting this Red pop up every hour or so saying avast has failed to update itself. But when i go to click and manually update it, it says i have the current up to date protections.

Theres obviously an issue, i dunno if its corrupt or what.

The version it says it is, is:

Engine and Definitions: Already up to date (current version 131024-0)

Program: Already up to date (current version 8.0.1500)

Should i uninstall it and reinstall it or is there a virus or something corrupting it?

The program version is a GUI issue, no virus or anything else. ;)

Try a repair...Control Panel>Uninstall a Program>double click "avast">click "repair">reboot.  :)

The reason for the repair is that the version number was supposedly fixed.
