What does "unable to scan:Ar and "unable to...ZI?
« on: June 01, 2005, 01:29:58 AM »
First time user... After the scan, the report says "unable to scan:Ar" and  "ZI".  This applies to all files and drives. The scan did ferret out one virus however, and I quarantined. I do not have any other anti virus software running but have disabled Zone Alarm and  have deleted Norton prior to running scan. Please assist...

Maybe they are password protected compressed archives. Avast can't scan in password protected archives
Asus Intel i7 8GB RAM , Win 8.1 64 bit, Avast IS

avast does not use brute force to open passworded files... few (?) antivirus should use this...
Passworded files are safe. Don't worry  ;)
