Avast detects but cannot action bprotect-a [PUP]
« on: November 13, 2013, 05:00:51 AM »

Hi and HEEELLLPP!

I ran a boot scan and avast found a few things then found this:

user\user\appdata\local\microsoft\windows\temporary internet files\content\IE5\PB634VHW\pack[1].7z > Kerberos_6ho.ddl is Infected by Win32: BProtect-A [PUP]

then returned DELETE: Error 42111 not supported

I tried all the option i.e delete, repair, chest nothing could be actioned. I had to press escape which then aborted the rest of the boot scan.

I dont know but on a side note my mozilla start page is not normal and is saying its not current and that I should update, well thats not true its updated. the address on top is not the usual. I think the browser is being affected by this thing....

can anyone please shed some light on maybe what this is, how to remove it (if its a bad thing)?

many thanks in advance

Sorry about the location of this post.

Amazing! Thank you. Boot scan ran through without a problem now.

Thanks again :)
