XP SP3 Avast+Malware Byte + ?
« on: January 12, 2014, 12:44:22 AM »
Hi,
Happy New Year..

Just read a few posts and it seems the combo Avast + Malwarebytes is a good mix.

Should I add MCShield or another.

Many thanks..

oz

This MCShield (Authors' website)?
I never heard of it, but seems like a great idea if you use flash drives and such much (which I don't). Especially seeing, as I learned recently, the latest news on Cryptolocker suggests infected USB sticks as a means of distribution. Something called WORM_CRILOCK.A (by Trend Micro), if anyone is interested..

I'm pretty sure it was someone on avast! Forum (years ago) suggested/recommended SUPERAntiSpyware as well MBAM. Quite compatible, and, occasionally, SAS scan does detect stuff others miss. Pretty good deal too, because license fee is a once only payment.
