Silent Runners.vbs a BATCH virus?
« on: July 04, 2005, 03:29:16 PM »
Hello malware finders,

There is a site were you can quicly check if you start up malware running the Silent Runners.VBS to get a quick startup list.
It is found here: http://www.silentrunners.org/ I was anxious, as I always am, and uploaded it to jotti to find out that Dr.Web classified this as BATCH.virus. If that was so the virus would have left the machine after reboot, is not that so, "so zu sagen" harmless script. Some advise it on help forums. Is running this script safe checksum:  MD5 E8FDCCC4EC3F184E35CFBB58A385284E

greets,

Use NoScript, a limited user account and a virtual machine and be safe(r)!

It is not a batch virus but a Visual Basic one. ;)
