Recap:  SafeZone Browser either does not work (appears) or hangs on a specified url and never connects:   hxxp://program.avast.com/api/?action=2&p_elm=15

Running MBAM2 as a free (standalone scanner) does not cause these issues.
Windows 10 Home 64-bit 22H2 Microsoft Windows Defender - Windows 11 Home 23H2 - Windows 11 Pro 23H2 Avast Premier Security version 24.4.6112 (build 24.4.9067.762) UI version 1.0.803

Malwarebytes Pro Website Protection is probably conflicting, have you tried disabling.

Proposed fix here:  http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=146135.msg1075232#msg1075232  (Note at the time it was still a beta, and a part of the fix was uninstallation of MBAM2 trial)

It has not been re-installed as trial, but will be, as a free stand-alone scanner, later.

  • Trust only what you test yourself!
This may sound redundant but...did you make any mutual exclusions?

So, not an issue that can readily or properly be fixed with workarounds.  (See post # 1 for originating Safe Zone Browser Topic.)
