Avast is great but frustrating
« on: July 13, 2015, 07:48:05 PM »
Avast is the 2nd best antivirus I have ever seen and the best free antivirus, but sometimes it gets really frustrating when avast makes 450mb of downloaded files unusable and a bunch of wasted money(paid for the data >:() I know avast is trying to protect my pc but I know the download file is safe and even sometimes run in a sandbox to see what it does, and I know people could hack to download file on the official site but you would be able to see the extra bits if you view the file in bits. Example: avast have turned more than 7 different files from microsoft into useless files and even from arduino the main coder you use it to write code and avast hates it, the only way I have found to get past it is to disable my avast shields till the download finishes then I scan the file and NO VIRUS FOUND! can you believe it???

There is a link in that article where you can report (possible) false positives.
