license suddenly ceases to be valid
« on: August 29, 2005, 08:19:54 PM »
I've registered the free Version of Avast some three weeks ago, but today I suddenly get the message that my license has been valid up to january 1st 1970 and updating is no longer possible. However, my system date is correct and under "About Avast" all license info (registration number and expiring date November 1st 2006) is correctly displayed.

Anyone any ideas?

Check your system date especially the month and year, it would appear to be wrong.

I checked that already. However: I've tried updating again just now and everything works fine again. Might just have been a hickup on the server side?
