Safe Zone Not Working

Sorry if I there is a post somewhere on this site about fixing this problem - but I could not find one.  I have Avast Premier and it appears SafeZone does not work at all.  I have uninstalled Avast and ran AvastClear and reset the SafeZone nothing.  I enter a site in the SafeZone and it just sits there spinning.  If I do get a response it tells me to wait or KILL the unresponsive page.  What the hey - why pay for premium product when they don't work. 
I have the following system requirements:  Lenovo G780, Windows 7 - 64 Bit, I have tried IE 11 and Google Chrome, I have Emsisoft AntiMalware, Malwarebytes Pro installed - thanks

Drop EAM and try again.
