Civilization beyond earth
« on: December 05, 2014, 11:36:38 PM »
Hi

Today when trying to lauch Civilization Beyond Earth, Avast blocked it.

After I restored it and added to Avast exeption, I lauched it again and it got deleted AGAIN.

Now it's gone for good.

Is there a way to bring the executable it back from a quarantine folder or something?

Thank you

Which version of Avast! do you use?

Actually, on second thought.

2014:

Click on the Icon > Stats > Component Status > Find "X items stored in the Virus chest". (X represents a number from 0-Infinity) Click the text there (Not the number!!) > Find the file and Restore.

To play, Disable your Shields temp. It'll improve performance too.

2015:

See this link: http://www.avast.com/no-no/faq.php?article=AVKB21

(Disable shields to play still)

Edit:
If Avast! has Quarantined more then 1 file, use Ctrl + Click to select them. Then right click and restore.

It worked

I can't believe I missed that option :-[

I also can't believe the exception didn't work the first time.

Thanks a lot

PS Avast, you're captcha is way too complex, I had to request another image 6 times to figure out the caracters.

Tis only for the first few posts (5 I think) to avoid spammers!

You're welcome! Anything else?
