Avast problems
« on: December 07, 2014, 05:47:14 PM »
Ok what those this mean ->The instruction at 0x6cb231f4 referenced memory at 0x6cb231f4. the required data was not place
into memory because of I/O error statues of 0x0000185. click on ok to terminate the program

Ok now this message appear while i was doing a repairing of the product on avast today because a similar message appear while i was doing a quick scan today (so i though if do a repair it could fix the problem but it did not). this isn't the only problem there is other times it comes with a combination of freezing, not responding and/or blue screen. this always happens when i go for a scan using my avast(free).

My PC OS: Vista home premium, 32bit(x86)

I also have Malware bytes running on my computer not sure if this is what causing it.

My hubby went to register avast, and he got an email in Russian. We aren't Russian. He thinks he was hacked. I don't, but I would like to know what is going on. He sent a second request for the regestration email and that came in Russian also

Yesterday after I did the instruction and finish reinstalling it I run a quick scan, it froze from time to time but countinue on until it say something like show report which I click and froze the computer completely. So had to shut it down manually

Today in the morning I did another quick scan, it froze at 22% but after that it finish. click on show report which show no virus detection.

I going to do another scan tomorrow if I can.
