Boot Scan finds errors
« on: December 21, 2014, 05:28:13 PM »
Hi, the boot scan saved these in the log file:
File C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download\0aa3ef2f0c8b6eedf450a9dff1fe028e\BIT6B48.tmp|>mainwwsp3.msp|>01MsiPatchSequence Error 42144 {OLE archive is corrupted.}
File C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download\0aa3ef2f0c8b6eedf450a9dff1fe028e\BIT6B48.tmp|>mainwwsp3.msp Error 42127 {CAB archive is corrupted.}

That's the Windows Update folder, right? Should I be worried about the corrupted files?

Thanx! :)

avast sometimes say corrupted for archives it cant unpack and scan....
anyway it is just a scan error message and not something avast can do anything with, avast will only take action on infected file(s)

error may be gone if you run CCleaner reboot and scan again...

and why do you run a boot scan, any problems?

No problems, just precaution, I do it from time to time (quite rarely) and it's the frist time that I got that kind of message. I'll try the CCleaner. Thank you.
